Relationship with Data Access Worldwide: UK Channel partner for Visual Dataflex since 2001, exclusively so since 2009.
As UK channel partner for Data Access Europe Asckey is the prime Visual DataFlex contact point for the UK Visual DataFlex developer community. As well as a regular Visual Dataflex news and mail newsletter, we run a twice yearly VDF seminar/Special Interest Group, dating back to 1997. In collaboration with several of the regular attendees we have developed the UK VDF SIG Codejock framework, considerably building upon the Codejock support provided in the distributed Visual DataFlex product. We are responsible for distributing Visual DataFlex, Electos, Visual Report Writer, and Dynamic AI to the UK and the Republic of Ireland, coordinating user events and training for the products in those two geographical areas.
About Asckey Data Services: Asckey Data Services Ltd is a software development house which uses Visual Dataflex as its primary application development system. As well as a general business application development capability, Asckey has a special interest in Estates Management in the UK National Health Service. Both of its primary products are based on Visual Dataflex:-
- Eclipse-fm® product, built with Visual DataFlex, is a comprehensive facilities management application designed for the particular needs of the NHS and is in use my many UK NHS Trusts
- efm-Information, built with Visual DataFlex and operated through the Visual DataFlex Web Application Server is a suite of web based applications sharing a common web gateway which gather extensive information related to the management of the NHS “Estate” developed for the NHS Information Centre for Health and Social care over the last 10 years.
Asckey Data Services also provides extensive hosting facilities, particularly for NHS related applications and servers operating within the NHS N3 private network, but also for Visual Dataflex developers looking for specialist Web Application Server and Electos hosting.
