Dynamic AI - an Asckey case study
We are often asked if we use the Dynamic AI system in our own business and the answer is most definitely a yes! See below for the what, how and why - it may give you food for thought for your own organisation.
"One of those things I wasnt sure I needed and now wouldnt be without.
I am often asked what I use this flexible Business Intelligence tool for - and the easy answer is everything!
A simple definition is that Dynamic AI is a report tool, except that once the report is set up, it changes as the base data changes so that its not a static report but one that yields real-time information at the touch of a button. It can pull data from numerous sources to produce really meaningful reports with the right information that is essential for keeping your finger on the pulse of the organisation and is bang up-to-date to allow for accurate decision making. You can easily access historic data too, by using simple drop-down selections.
My reports are easily extended to others who might also need access and cover such things as: time recording information for billing, productivity analysis, asset analysis and renewals, contracts data, overtime, financial analysis, project management, sales forecast and order pipeline. The only limit on what is reported is your desire and the extent of the data you have available.
Better still, I have a Dashboard. You have probably heard the term before. This is an area that displays a selection of reports so you can choose the areas important to you on display as often as you want - for easy access to that essential information.
I would definitely not be without it - it is a truly dynamic system!"

 Eclipse-fm® v6.1
Our flagship product, Eclipse-fm® continues to develop. The latest release, v6.1 and has two brand new features: Project Management and Mobile Asset Survey Module for PDAs.
Project Management Module
This new module brings project management, planning and tracking to Eclipse-fm®.
Designed for small schemes, e.g. re-furbishing a ward, this new module manages all tasks, meetings, accounts, assets, purchases and staff related to a project. A multi-tabbed view provides:
Overview|Calendar|Budgets|Tasks|Purchase Orders|Assets|Contracts|Stakeholders
Easy access for viewing a projects "state" e.g. cost and duration, budget information and review of project progress vs costs, are also included. The Calendar facility shows the project timeline, including drill-down access into any of the timeline elements to view and edit details. Eclipse-fm® v6.1 additional highlights include improved access speeds for Staff Management and Task Management modules.
Mobile Asset Survey Module
One problem with mobile computing can be "What happens when you lose connection?" The answer is often "You stop working until you get connected again", but not when you are using the Eclipse-fm® Mobile solution.

This new mobile module allows for a full "walk around" equipment condition survey process, regardless of whether your PDA is within connection range or not.
When out of range, the new or changed records can still be entered and stored then automatically synchronised with the Eclipse-fm® database when connection is re-established.
Eclipse-fm® keeps on growing...
More and more Trusts are discovering that Eclipse-fm® provides the ultimate solution for their FM needs. Latest examples include:
Eclipse-fm® expansion across combined Trusts The Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been formed following the merger of Basingstoke North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust and the Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare NHS Trust. The current Eclipse-fm® installation at the Basingstoke site is expanding to cover all sites within the enlarged Trust.
Glasgow expansion The current Eclipse-fm® installation at Glasgow Royal Infirmary is being extended to cover further major sites within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board. The initial extention takes in the laboratory block at the new Southern General Hospital with further coverage as the site grows and the various building phases are completed.
Dudley expands mobile usage Dudley PCT has recently ordered a 25 user licence for Eclipse-fms® new Android-based Mobile Task Management (MTM) module. The expansion is part of a process to expand use of their Eclipse-fm® installation to allow remote access for both Estates and EBME trades staff to speed-up operations, reduce user error/duplication and increase efficiency.
Ipswich license expansion The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust have recently expanded their Eclipse-fm® license usage. By increasing their installation to a 25 concurrent user system, they are now able to facilitate wider use of the system across the Trust.
How could expansion help your organisation? Call us today on 0845 270 7747 to find out more.

* Eastern Cancer Registration and Information Centre
ECRIC - hosting case study
ECRIC is one of eight regional cancer registries in England and covers the East of England, including the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. They create a joint registry hosted in partnership with Asckey Data Services. The combined registry utilises Asckeys NHS N3 connection to provide a powerful data system for the delivery of timely, comparable and high-quality cancer statistics. Data collected by the registry has directly led to improved patient care and supported publications and websites from several high-profile research studies over the last year.
WWW Hosting Capacity
In order to accommodate the increasing use of online access by our non-N3 and non-NHS customers, we have recently increased the capacity of our Internet optical fibre connection to 20Mbps. In addition to providing extra resource for our support, we now have extra capacity to host your web applications. If you are looking for a secure hosting environment for your application, where support and reliability are key and where services such as basic monitoring and backup services are tailored to your organisation, then please contact us on 0845 270 7747 to discuss your requirements.
